Saucy Mama Asian Slaw

I love the folks at Saucy Mama. Last year I took part (Lime Chipotle Chicken Quesadillas) in one of their contests and they asked me back to participate in this years contest – Fab with Five.  I of course got a million ideas but only had time to make one….sigh.  I kept it basic because I wanted the sauce to really stand out. Also I was only allowed to use 5 ingredients. Eeek! I settled on using the Pacific Rim Ginger Dressing. It’s PACKED full of flavor and perfect for marinating and making salads.  The dressing consists of sesame oil, soy sauce, ginger, lime and rice vinegar. It was the perfect match for this slaw.

Saucy Mama Asian Slaw

Prep Time: 10 minutes

Cook Time: 0 minutes

Total Time: 10 minutes

Ingredients:

1 bag coleslaw mix (green cabbage, carrots and red cabbage)
1/2 cup Saucy Mama Pacific Rim Ginger Sauce
2 tablespoons toasted sesame seeds
3 green onions – sliced, using green and white parts
1 tablespoon cilantro – optional

Directions:

Combine all ingredients and enjoy! The longer the flavors sit the more flavorful the coleslaw will taste.

    I think this looks awesome. The bagged coleslaw that I buy doesn’t have red cabbage–I wish that it did. Don’t enter me in your giveaway, obviously 🙂 Good luck! (I hope you lose and I win…hahaha just kidding….sorta).

    I LOVE a slaw that doesn’t involve mayo! This looks fantastic! And I want to try that Sweet Heat Marinade so bad! ahhh fun giveaway 🙂

    I am ALWAYS looking for new slaw recipes because I absolutely detest regular old cole slaw….but I LOVE the Asian flavors in this! I could eat the whole bowl!
