Homemade Strawberry Vodka & Lemonade

This simple homemade strawberry vodka lemonade is the perfect summer infusion. You’ll love this homemade strawberry vodka combined with lemonade.

I have always had a thing for lemonade during the summer. There is seriously nothing better. When I was a kid I used to make it by the pitcher and it was usually gone by the end of the day.

This cocktail includes my favorite summer drink but with an over 21 twist. Hello homemade strawberry vodka!

If you have never made your infused vodka you are in a for a treat. It’s so amazingly simple. Take fresh fruit or herbs, cover it in vodka and let it sit. Could it be easier?

In the past I have made my own infused cherry, blackberry, Buddha’s hand (so delicious!) and now strawberry. Why buy the artificially flavored stuff when you can make it at home for way less?!

For this strawberry vodka you just take freshly washed and sliced strawberries, add to a mason jar and cover with a reasonably priced vodka. Don’t go too cheap but don’t go crazy.

I was lucky enough to sample some Platinum 7x Vodka and it worked perfectly for my homemade infused vodka. It has a nice clean taste with no harsh alcohol burn. I loved the fun blue bottle (I’m a sucker for fun and colorful packaging) and the best part is that it tastes great and will not break the bank.

After the strawberries have taken a bath in vodka they have to sit for 3 days in a dark cool spot. I like to keep mine in the pantry. Once a day give the jar a nice shake. When it’s ready the strawberries will be white in color and the vodka will be pretty pink in color.

After your vodka is ready turn it into this amazing cocktail. It’s a simple mixture of lemonade, strawberry vodka, frozen strawberries (they make great ice cubes and then you can eat them!) and a few lemon slices. After you taste this drink you will be making them all summer long.

Homemade Strawberry Vodka & Lemonade Cocktail

Yield: 1 pint vodka + 1 drink

Prep Time: 3 days for the vodka + 5 minutes for the drink

Cook Time: 0 minutes

Total Time: 3 days for the vodka + 5 minutes for the drink

Ingredients:

For strawberry vodka:

  • 1/2 pint strawberries, sliced
  • Vodka

For drink:

  • 2 parts homemade strawberry vodka
  • 4 parts lemonade
  • 3 frozen whole strawberries
  • 2 lemon slices

Directions:

For strawberry vodka:
Fill strawberries to the top of jar and cover with vodka.

Cover the jar and store in a cool dark place. Shake the jar once a day. After 3 days the vodka should be ready. The strawberries will look white in color and the vodka will be pink/red in color.

You can strain your vodka and throw out the berries if desired. I usually just keep them in the jar and do not strain.

For drink:
In a cocktail glass add strawberry vodka, lemonade, frozen whole strawberries and lemon slices.

Add a straw and enjoy!

Disclosure: I received a sample of 7x Platinum vodka. All opinions are my own.
