Bananas Foster Milkshake

This bananas foster milkshake is the perfect way to celebrate summer. Packed full of banana flavor with a hint of dark rum flavor. So easy and delicious!

There is something about the end of summer that has me giddy with excitement.  As I explained in my last post, I do love summer but I honestly love fall even more. That is why even though most people are sad to say goodbye to summer I’m usually there toasting it away with a smile on my face. This labor day I will throwing a Labor Day BBQ thanks to the kind folks at Herbew National and this dessert is most definitely on the list.

Don’t worry. I’m going to be making a lot more than just boozy milkshakes for the party. Earlier this summer I worked with Hebrew National and made slaw dogs with crispy corned beef and peach jalapeño salsa dogs. Both of those beauties are going to be making an appearance at the party. How can you have a Labor Day BBQ without hotdogs? The answer is you can’t.

So while the rest of you will be crying about bikini season being over I’m going to be eating 3 hot dogs and then toasting to fall with this sweet milkshake. It’s flavorful, cold and perfect with a shot (or two) of black spiced rum. Of course if you’re not a fan of rum, or the little ones are partaking, I would suggest leaving it out. It’s still fantastic without the booze.

Oh and lets be honest. The best thing about fall is the fact that you get to wear fat hiding oversized sweaters and don’t have to shave your legs. Am I right?
