Ok, I know I have made you a TON of burgers this year but bear with me because I’m back at it! This burger is made with a lot of jalapenos so it is a bit on the spicy side BUT I know all you readers are a fan of the heat. Am I right?

It’s funny, as a kid I was petrified of eating something that was spicy. My dad was a crazy spice addict who would add heat any chance he got. My stepmom would get so mad because she would turn her back and he would turn basic chili into “OMG my mouth is burning it will never not burn for the rest of my life” chili. Needless to say, I grew up in fear of taking a bite of something that was either going to be mild or WAY too hot for me to handle. Now I’m an adult and I’m all “BRING ON THE HEAT” and I try to squeeze it in anywhere I can. Thank goodness I’m married to a man who also loves the heat!

Now, this burger does pack some spice but it’s not so hot you’ll be reaching for a jug of milk. It uses seeded fresh jalapenos in the patty and then it’s topped with your desired amount of pickled jalapenos. SOOOOOO it’s really a pick your own spice adventure type of burger. I also threw in some crunchy fried onions, salsa, avocado and cilantro. BUT of course a burger wouldn’t be complete without melty goodness and that’s why these babies are loaded with Land O Lakes® Deli American – which I know you’ll LOVE! I know my husband went crazy over it because not only was the burger cheesy but I had leftover deli American so he could snack while I cooked. This man of mine is 100% down with anything that involves meat and cheese.

So, now it’s time to get into the kitchen and get to cooking OR grilling! This Baja burger needs to be made RIGHT NOW! Your whole family will go crazy over it and I assure you will be the new burger of the season.
