This cake 100% reminds me of Christmas. When I open the bottle of cream sherry it literally screams “YOU OPENED ME FOR THE CHRISTMAS CAKE, DIDN’T YOU!!!” I don’t go around actually drinking the cream sherry but it’s the bomb diggity in this cake. Plus it includes a TON of nutmeg so that basically means this cake was made for me.

Am I right?

Now, before I get a bunch of side eye YES this cake is from a box. BUT I love it so much and it turns out perfect every. single. time. so I keep making it year after year. Our family tradition is prime rib on Christmas night with potatoes, green beans, rolls, sangria and this cake. It never changes and it’s always perfect. I’ve tried this cake before with a glaze but powdered sugar is really all it needs.

I think the thing I love most about this cream sherry bundt cake is that it’s only 6 ingredients! PLUS it can be made a few days before and it will still stay super moist. (I know! I hate the word moist too BUT it’s ok when used to talk about cake.) And the batter to this cake is divine! I have the hardest time not eating all the raw batter when I make this cake. I know raw batter is “technically not good for you” but I like to live my life on the edge.

You know you do it too. Don’t give me that look.

The thing that everyone raves about with this cake is the texture. It’s so light and fluffy that it’s like a cloud. Of course, since it’s a bundt cake make sure to grease that pan really well. Stuck cakes are ZERO fun!

I have almost a whole bottle of cream cherry in my liquor cabinet. Now I know what it’s destined for!
