What’s the best way to spend a day in Cabo San Lucas, Mexico? How about rolling in on a beautiful Princess Cruise Ship, going sailing on a luxury yacht, eating delicious food and swimming in crystal clear water. How is that for a luxury day in Cabo?

Back in October you know I went on a Mexican Rivera cruise with Princess Cruises. It was an awesome time spent with great friends that were full of food, sunshine and laughs. On our last port stop, we made it to Cabo San Lucas, Mexico. I had never been to Cabo before so I was PUMPED! Gina visited Cabo last year and has not stopped talking about it since. With that rave review, I had a sneaking suspicion I would love Cabo too.
I took my friend Jess on the cruise with me and every. single. morning. we would start the day with room service. It was the same order each morning – coffee, 2 croissants with marmalade, butter and strawberry jam and some fruit. We would wake up with a knock on the door, grab our room service, eat breakfast on the balcony and then get our day started. Which (embarrassingly?) by “get our day started” I mean we would get dressed and go down the buffet and eat a bigger more protein packed breakfast – aka: second breakfast.
So on our day in Cabo San Lucas, Mexico after our second breakfast we threw on our swimsuits and headed off the boat for a whole afternoon of luxury sailing. I had actually never sailed before so I wasn’t sure what to expect but it was straight up luxurious! They welcomed us on board (on ship? on boat?) with a glass of bubbly, then we sailed, ate a snack, anchored, swam in the ocean, had lunch, had a few cocktail, fed the fish and then finally sailed back.
Ohhhh and it’s worth noting that I actually jumped off the boat and swam! I have this weird thing with basically any body of water that is not a pool. I watch WAY too many shark sci-fi movies to feel comfortable swimming in the open water. BUT everyone else was swimming so I went with peer pressure and jumped into the water. Honestly, it was awesome and I’m sorta annoyed at myself for not doing it sooner!
As we were sailing back in I got an awesome shot of our boat Ruby Princess – isn’t she pretty?
When we got back to the boat I took off to take a few shots and got to view a GORGEOUS sunset. The sun was on FIRE that day and I was so happy I was able to snap a few shots.
