I do not go a day without sipping on an iced coffee. Even in the middle of the winter I enjoy a nice cold cup of coffee. Five out of the seven days I normally drink coffee too late and then can’t sleep.

Please tell me I’m not alone. There has to be another “I drank coffee too late and now I can’t sleep” person out there…right?

Now that we have established I’m obsessed with coffee I should note that I’m also obsessed with flavored creamer. However, I hate the store bought stuff. It’s always too sweet and the flavors are a bit out of control. I’m a simple girl who likes simple flavors. This quick and easy homemade creamer is packed full of chai flavor and has just a touch of vanilla bean. It going to blow your mind when you see how easy it is to make this stuff!

Homemade Chai Vanilla Creamer

This quick and easy homemade vanilla chai creamer is the perfect addition to your coffee. You won't believe how easy it is to make your own coffee creamer!

Yield: 1-1/2 cup creamer

Prep Time: 5 minutes

Cook Time: 20 minutes

Total Time: 25 minutes

Ingredients:

  • 1-1/2 cup half and half
  • 5 spicy chai tea bags
  • 2 teaspoons vanilla bean paste (or extract)
  • 2 teaspoons agave syrup (optional)

Directions:

In a small pot add half and half and let warm over low heat. Do not let your half and half boil. We are just warming the mixture.

Take it off the heat, add in tea bags and cover the pot. Let the mixture steep for at least 15 minutes.

Remove tea bags from the half and half mixture and stir in vanilla bean paste and optional agave syrup.

Store in the refrigerator for up to a week. I like to keep mine in a glass jar and give it a good shake before you use it.

* I was provided a free Keurig machine and a package of K-Cups for this review and giveaway. As always, all opinions are 100% my own.

I am a big coffee drinker too. Love it hot or iced depending on the temp outside! :)

This looks awesome... my only question is, could I substitute milk for the half and half? I love vanilla soy milk and it's usually what I have on hand. Thanks!
