Dinnertime in my house isn’t always pretty.

Usually, my days are spent cooking so by the time dinner rolls around I’m too tired to cook.

Luckily my amazing husband doesn’t mind eating the day’s leftovers. Even if I do feel guilty about not making him a hot meal.

I know it’s a total MadMen way of thinking but I sorta love taking care of him. He never takes me for granted. He never tells me I have to take care of him. I want to do it. I know he works hard and I just want to thank him with a hot meal. I’m so cheesy.

Don’t worry, he takes care of me too.

He takes me out to fancy dinners, buys me flowers for no reason, and wakes me up each and every morning just to tell me he loves me and hopes I have a great day.

Yeah, I know. I’m totally smitten with my husband.

When we first moved in together (about 8 years ago) all we had were a few random kitchen utensils.

He decided to surprise me one night and bring me home a giant bag full of brand new kitchen gadgets.

While some women might not enjoy kitchen utensils as a gift I was pumped!

Plus he has listened to me when I talked about how much I loved OXO products.

My bag was full of spatulas, measuring cups, and any other kitchen gadget I needed.

That’s why when Rachel and I decided to throw together Mac & Cheese Mania I knew I had to reach out to OXO.

I’m loyal to their products and have never not loved anything I have bought from them. I was lucky enough to test out their OXO Good Grips Silicone Spatula,OXO Good Grips 3-Ring Trivet and OXO Good Grips Lua Salt and Pepper Mill Set.

I can never have too many spatulas (am I right?) and the fact that I now own a real salt and pepper mill set makes me giddy with excitement.

I’m telling you, freshly ground salt and pepper do make difference!

Plus can we talk about the spatula for a second?

I had a bunch of old spatulas where the head detached and the last time I used one I lost the head inside the bottle of peanut butter!

Ugh. These OXO spatulas are silicone so they are safe to use while cooking BUT the heads are attached. That means I no longer have to worry about losing my spatula head inside my peanut butter.

That my friends is a win win.

I guess I should tell you little bit about this delicious dish. I opted to make it only on the stovetop because there are just some nights when I don’t want to turn on the oven.

I used store-bought gnocchi so it makes this dish even easier to make.

Plus the addition of ham and peas is a classic gnocchi pairing.

This really reminds me so much of a recipe my mom made for us growing up. I am printing out to make for my own son!

I try to make the.boy at least one hot meal a week...but most nights he's stuck with the microwaved leftovers lol. yay for gnocchi!! I love pairing them with cheesy sauce...it's so good and so bad.

Plus OXO is my favorite. I think I might have one of all their tools...
