These 2 bite Greek lamb meatballs are packed full of feta cheese, and spices and served with a homemade tzatziki sauce. They are a perfect appetizer or dinner!
I have been sitting here for 45 minutes attempting to figure out some story to write along with these meatballs. This is the part of blogging that I sometimes hate. The need to come up with a story to go along with the food.
Sometimes it just cannot be done. I guess I could tell you about my day…would that work?
- Woke up around 9:30 am. Didn’t want to get out of bed.
- Went to the diner for a French toast breakfast and Instagrammed a picture of my iced coffee.
- Went to the grocery store to buy all the stuff I would need to make my recipes for SheKnows.
- Stopped at the beer store to try and find this Chipotle beer I heard about. I couldn’t find it but I did stay inside the beer freezer for about 15 minutes because it was so deliciously cold.
- Talked my husband into driving to the other beer store to see if they had the beer. They did.
- Stopped at 7-11 to buy myself a diet Coke. It tasted like shit.
- Got home and started dinner – pork chile verde. We cannot get enough of this stuff!
- Watched a bunch of old episodes of The Office. You know, the ones where Jim and Pam were not together yet and it gave you that same feeling that Ross and Rachel gave you.
- Ate dinner. It was amazing. You really should make this stuff.
- Edited some pictures for this week, worked on my editorial calendar for SheKnows, and tried to figure out new recipes to make for Nutmeg Nanny.
- Went to the store to buy ice cream because I’m a sucker.
- Starting watching Trading Places with my husband while writing this post.
- Still watching Trading Places and learning all about frozen concentrated orange juice.
Isn’t my life glamorous? What did you do this weekend?
Now, about these meatballs.
They are made with ground lamb and packed full of fresh crumbled feta, cumin, allspice, and cinnamon and served with a homemade tzatziki sauce.
They are the perfect party appetizer or simple dinner option when served with a salad.

Unfortunately, a pound of ground lamb is $10.00/lb. where I live, so I may try with ground beef. I do love the idea of serving them like lollipops. I also love to make cevapcicis on the grill. Another tasty treat and little grilled cigars. Search the word for recipes.

I occasionally require savories to build up an appetite for dessert. This looks like the perfect way to pre-funk before dessert. :-)
