This chicken broccoli ziti is a delicious weeknight dinner. Ready in 30 minutes and packed with delicious white wine and Parmesan sauce flavor.
Do you sometimes stand with your arms holding out the fridge door, looking inside, wondering, “What in the heck am I going to make for dinner?”
Yeah, me too.
Of course, this always happens when I don’t plan and am short on time.
I’m here to save the day with this chicken broccoli ziti dish. It’s super hearty and ready in just 30 minutes.
That means you don’t have to spend all night in the kitchen trying to whip something random up.
What I love most about this dish is that it has all you need PACKED into one dish – carbs, protein, and veggies!
Plus, adding white wine gives a subtle flavor that makes it taste like it took hours to achieve!

Can I use a differently shaped pasta for this recipe?
Of course!
We all know that by the age of 30, we have all finally accepted we have a favorite shape of pasta.
That’s totally normal! My favorite happens to be cavatappi. It’s so much fun!
Ziti works well with this dish because it’s a great size and shape to pair with the chicken, broccoli, and white wine sauce.
If you want to use what you have on hand, that is perfectly acceptable!
Something with ridges will help you cling to that sauce too!
Do I have to use white wine?
If you’re worried about the alcohol in the wine, it will cook off before being served.
However, if you’re just not a fan of white wine, you can always substitute the wine with more chicken stock.
It will cut down slightly in the flavor department, but it will still be delicious.
I never recommend using “cooking wine, ” a shelf-stable product usually found in the grocery store near the vinegar. I find it way too salty and brings very little to the recipe.

How come when I made this all the cheese melted into one big clump at the end? What did I do wrong?

This is an easy dish the only thing I would do differently is use a pan that IS NOT nonstick. Don't get the bits like you would with a regular pan. Great recipe and very easy.

This is great! So many chicken broccoli ziti recipes are too oily or too heavy. This one is light and creamy and comes together so well. Used mushrooms and veg broth to make it vegetarian friendly for a relative!

For some reason, mine came out liquid-y. I added some cornstarch and brought it to a boil. Also added some crushed red pepper. A very tasty meal that gave me an excuse to make garlic toast to dip in the sauce!

Made this tonight and it was amazing! Didn’t have any wine on hand but it didn’t matter to the kids. Fantastic!
