Cranberry Gin Fizz

This cranberry gin fizz is a great addition to your holiday cocktail rotation. Made with gin, fresh-squeezed orange juice, homemade whole-berry cranberry sauce, and a splash of fizzy water.

I’m always looking for a way to use up cranberry sauce and I just came up with a crazy delicious way!

I made my cranberry orange sauce with ginger a few weeks ago and instead of using it on a sandwich, I went straight to a cocktail.

Are you shocked?

You really shouldn’t be.

You know I LOVE me some gin.

PLUS how cool is it to take cranberry sauce and throw it into a cocktail?

Art likes to claim that he needs a few cocktails over the weekend because of my unwavering love of Hallmark Christmas movies.

Another year, another batch of movies that I can’t stop watching.

They are all so horribly bad and I swear to everything I cannot stop watching.

Especially any holiday movie that takes someone and shows them what their lives would have been if they had picked a different path.

Sucks me in every. single. time.

And yes, I know the movies all have the same plot.

And yes, I know that they make it seem like there are a ton of Princes just running around looking for partners.

Although, if you’re Meghan Markle you are literally living a Hallmark movie.

Can you imagine?

The recipe for this cocktail is written to make 1 drink but feel free to double it if you want your cocktail in a big glass.

Totally not judging.

Actually, last year I got these super cute cocktail glasses from Fishs Eddy and I’m sorta bummed I forgot to use them for this shoot.

I think I need to bust them out for the holidays this year because I need a good excuse to use them.

I guess I could throw a party and put them out but I have literally never thrown a house party. Well, an adult house party.

Not a high school “hey, my dad is out of town you should come over” type of house party.

Art and I are actually re-doing our kitchen and living room so maybe I’ll throw a party after that?

Ok, yes. I’m going to throw a party after it’s done. I’m saying this on the blog to hold myself accountable.
