Hi everyone!!! Didn’t Faith over at Thought 4 Food do a great job guest posting! She is such a gem 🙂 While I was away on vacation she posted two very delicious recipes. I cannot wait to try them out! So does everyone want to know where I went??? Are you ready for it???…………………OHIO!!! That’s right ladies and gentleman I was living it up in the Buckeye State. This is where I originally call home. I moved to New York when I was just a quiet 19 year old. That was over 8 years ago…time flies! I usually make it home for about a week every August. It’s always fun to go back but no matter how hard I try I can never ever ever ever get everything done. I had a very busy week this time. My best friend was having her bridal shower and as the maid of honor I had a lot to get done! I made delicious chocolate cupcakes with vanilla butter cream frosting and the most delicious lemon layer cake with lemon curd and mascarpone. That recipe will come later in the week. After I’m done showing off my pictures. I know technically this is a food blog but since I am the owner of the blog I can veer off course a few times…right? Ok back to my week. Now along with the shower I had a list of places (mostly restaurants) I wanted to visit and of course the highlight of any Sandusky county resident was in town….the county fair! I couldn’t be in Ohio and not go to the fair. I love the fair! My best friend, her fiancee, my boyfriend and I all went on a double date so we could enjoy fried fair food goodness. We had deep fried cheese curds, french fries with lots of vinegar, corn dogs, an elephant ear, a funnel cake, deep fried snickers and cinnamon buns. Yes I know it was a healthy night:) Seriously though…why go to the fair if you want to eat healthy? You are at the wrong place for that!
Ok so now I’m going to share with you some random vacation photos and then later this week I will share the lemon layer cake I made for the shower (along with a few pictures of the bachelorette party :)) and I will show you all my dining out experience at Tony Paco’s, a Toledo favorite, and a few other random eating out photo shoots. Enjoy!!!
