I’m a huge fan of trying new products. Mostly because I get tired of eating the same thing over and over again. Unless we are talking about popcorn. I can always eat that.

Brookside asked me if I could try out their product and even though I was excited I was a little skeptical too. Chocolate covered acai with blueberry flavors, pomegranate with fruit flavors and goji berries with raspberry flavors…would it be good? I have always enjoyed chocolate covered cherries and strawberries but have always been a little weird about chocolate covered dried friut.

The candy ended up being really tasty and I loved that they were coated in dark chocolate. I don’t know about you but in the past couple years I have realized how truly amazing dark chocolate can be. When I was a kid I would always turn my nose up at dark chocolate. Now I actively  seek it out. Does this make me an adult? Plus I liked how the candy was a little chewy and tart all at the same time.

I layed in my hotel and munched on them while watching The Shawshank Redemption (totally fantastic movie!) but I really think they would be great inside a cookie or added to homemade trailmix. Yum!

The next time you are out and about you should grab a bag to discover Brookside. You won’t be disappointed. Oh and don’t forget to follow Nutmeg Nanny and Brookside Chocolate on Facebook. This way you can hear about new posts and any special events. Also, be sure to stop by Sams Club on October 5th for an in person Brookside demo!
