This post is sponsored by friends at Werther’s Caramel. As all always all opinions are 100% my own.

You know whats the best? Salted caramel. It’s so perfectly perfect and takes no bake cheesecake from “Oh this is great” to “HOLY CRAP THIS IS AWESOME!” And I didn’t just do any old salted caramel sauce I made it from melted down Werther’s soft caramels and a touch of sea salt. If you haven’t seen the soft caramels it’s their newest product so don’t give up. I loved the sauce so much my husband walked into the kitchen and found me eating it from the pan with a spoon. I couldn’t help it – caramel is seriously the best!

Of course I didn’t just make this no bake salted caramel cheesecake with a traditional crust I went ahead and did it with pretzels because the combo is pure perfection. Salted caramel + cheesecake + crushed pretzels = perfection.

Also just a general side note that Werther’s 100% reminds me of my grandparents. They used to always have a giant bowl sitting in their living room that I would gobble up every single time I visited. I’m pretty sure I stuck a few in my pocket too because having a sweet caramel snack (that I didn’t have to share with my brothers) was always on my mind!

If you do not have a bowl of Werther’s you can steal from your grandparents you’re gonna wanna find yourself in NYC on April 5th! Starting at 7am (right near the Time Square subway station) Werther’s is going to give away 1 million pieces of creamy caramel to help celebrate National Caramel Day. Starting at 7am, visitors are encouraged to BYOB (“bring your own candy bowl”) to fill up with sweet treats from Werther’s Original. Perfect for sharing, Werther’s will be handing out two bags of caramel per person – one for them and one for a friend – including Werther’s Original Caramel Hard Candies, Chewy Caramels, Creamy Filled and Soft Caramels. Of course you’re supposed to share that friend bag with a friend (duh!) but I would probably just save it for myself. No one is getting my caramels.

So get your butt over to Time Square, grab your free caramel candies and celebrate National Caramel day in delicious style.
