Are you fan of slow cooker cooking? 30 bloggers teamed up to create a slow cooker cookbook that will share healthy and cost effective slow cooker meals.
Have you ever wondered where your next meal will come from? Do you know that 46 million people in the United States deal with hunger issues, including 12 million children and 7 million seniors?
I know I have taken my life for granted at times without even thinking about how other people struggle from day to day. Having healthy food shouldn’t be a luxury. That’s why I teamed up with some bloggers (30 of in total!) to create a slow cooker cookbook that puts together healthy, whole food, cost friendly meal ideas.
The Where Slow Food and Whole Food Meet: healthy slow cooker dinners from our kitchens to yours cookbook is packed full of recipes that will how just how easy it is to plan healthy meals on a budget.
Plus, all of the proceeds from the print copy of the book are going to the Second Harvest Food Bank of Central Florida.
Want to know what type of recipes are in the book? I’m including my butternut squash chili (pictured above) as well as whole Tuscan chicken from The Little Kitchen, balsamic orange roast beef from A Farmgirl’s Dabbles, broccoli and cheese potato soup by Big Bear’s Wife, strawberry-habanero pulled chicken by Healthy Delicious and Thai coconut curry beef and broccoli by Food Faith Fitness.
Of course there are a TON of other recipes too! Support a great cause and buy a book. Not only will you be rewarded with some great recipes but you will be helping a great cause too!
I’m also giving away a Hamilton Beach slow cooker as well as 2 copies of the cookbook! There will be 2 winner – 1 winner will receive a brand new slow cooker as well 1 copy of the cookbook, another winner will receive a copy of the cookbook.
A big GIANT thank you to the sponsors who helped making this book possible. Together, San Miguel Produce, Grimmway Farms and Old Oak Farms by RPE Produce are making some big contributions to help end hunger. They are each contributing food to their local food banks AND they are giving $5 for every print copy of the book that we sell.* That’s in addition to the proceeds from the book that are already going to the food bank! You get a book and you get to help end hunger in America in a big big way.
