Gingerbread Martini

This gingerbread martini is a seasonal dessert cocktail. The perfect combination of sweet and spicy that tastes just like the holidays!

The holiday season always makes me crave sweet cocktails.

I mean, really they are cocktails that could also double as a dessert BUT I’m not gonna split hairs here. They are what they are.

They are delicious and if you want to dink them all. night. long. I’m not gonna sit here and judge you.

PLUS this delicious gingerbread martini isn’t just made with warm winter booze it’s also made with half melted ice cream.

Do you know what that means? It means it’s creamy and DREAMY!

I made this martini for the blog back in 2010 when I used to do”Twelve Boozy Days of Christmas.”

It was a bit exhausting doing 12 different cocktails so I stopped doing it a few years ago.

However, this year I decided it was time to give some of the super delicious cocktails a little makeover.

Now, you all know I LOVE gingerbread (hello, homemade gingerbread syrup!) but I think my favorite way to enjoy this flavor is in drinks.

I mean, I’ll never turn down a slice of cake BUT can you ever go wrong with a cocktail?

And can we talk about these cute glasses? I bought them last year at an antique store and I LOVE them! I’m sad I didn’t buy more because I’m hella paranoid out breaking them.

Oh, and completely off topic but I’m writing this while in my hotel in Chicago and it’s FREEZING!

It’s been a little warm in New York this year so I have yet to acquire my winter thick skin. Therefore the second I go outside my face hurts and I question why I agreed to go to Chicago in December.

I guess I could just make a few of these gingerbread martinis and I would warm up.
