During the winter I LOVE all thing hot chocolate related. And I’m talking REAL hot chocolate. Not that powdered stuff you mix with water. Listen, I’m not really anti packet hot chocolate but at least mix it with warmed milk and not water. Water + powdered hot chocolate = sadness. Milk + powdered hot chocolate = acceptable in a pinch.

Personally, the amount of time it would take me to warm the milk and mix the powdered cocoa I could make this crazy easy Vitamix hot chocolate. You guys, it’s made in the Vitamix. Or any other high powered blender you have like a Blendtec. Sadly you do need a high powered blender as it’s strong enough to actually warm the milk and melt the chocolate. A normal blender cannot warm the mixture like a Vitamix.

And no, Vitamix did not pay me to write about this recipe. I just made this in my Vitamix so the name seemed fitting. To be honest, I actually made and posted this recipe in 2013. I’m not sure how many of you were reading my blog back then BUT this reicpe needed to be reposted becuase I needed all my new readers to know about it’s delicious existance. You can check out my old pictures at the end of the post.

Oh, and I made a fun little video to go along with this post. Gina and I have been working hard at making our own videos so if you’re into videos give it a quick little watch. I’m super excited about the steam shot becuase it shows you just how hot this hot chocolate gets from just being blended in the Vitamix.
