For the final layer we used red velvet cake which is the perfect showstopper of a holiday dessert. If you're not a fan of red velvet cake you could use chocolate cake in place.
STACK IT ALL UP AND SLATHER IT IN BUTTERCREAM FROSTING! I'M USING VANILLA BUTTERCREAM BUT YOU COULD DYE IT TO LOOK FESTIVE OR FLAVOR IT WITH ALMOND IF DESIRED.
