Apple Pie Filling Coffee Cake

This simple and easy apple pie filling coffee cake is a delicious way to use apple fruit filling. It's the perfect semi-homemade dessert or breakfast cake of your dreams!

Ingredients

For cake:

  • 15.25 ounce box white cake mix
  • 3 large eggs
  • 1 cup sour cream
  • ¼ cup whole milk
  • 2 teaspoons apple pie spice
  • 1 teaspoon vanilla bean paste
  • 21 ounce can Lucky Leaf apple fruit filling

For cake:

  • Preheat oven to 350 degrees F and spray a 9x13 baking dish with non-stick cooking spray.
  • In the bowl of an electric mixer, or in a large mixing bowl, add cake mix, eggs, sour cream, milk, apple pie spice, and vanilla bean paste.
  • Mix on medium speed for 2 minutes either in your stand mixer or using a hand held mixer.
  • Add the batter to the prepared pan.
  • Top the batter with the apple fruit filling. Making sure to evenly distribute the fruit filling over the top of the batter.
  • Add to the preheated oven and bake for about 35 minutes or until the cake is fully cooked and set.
  • Drizzle with glaze and let cool.

For glaze:

  • Add all ingredients to a bowl and whisk together until smooth. If the glaze is too thick add more milk, if the glaze is too thin add more powdered sugar.
