Sloppy Joe Sweet Potato Cheese Fries

These sloppy Joe sweet potato cheese fries are the ultimate man food! Perfect for watching the big game and sharing with friends.

During high school my best friend and I had an unhealthy obsession with chili cheese fries. There was a local fast food place called Rudy’s that had the BEST fries known to man. They would take those thick cut freshly fried pieces of potato heaven and smother them in housemade chili and lots of melted cheese. I’m sure it was probably 694940583 calories but every single bite was amazing.

To this day I get a little sad about the fact they closed Rudy’s down and a CVS was built in its place. Because every single town in American needs another CVS.

Sigh.

Since I can’t get my favorite chili cheese fries anymore I decided to make my own. But I gave it a little Sloppy Joe Manwich twist. I made this fries on a lazy Saturday and then devoured them all in one sitting. No judging! If you’re feeling really motivated you could make your own sweet potato fries but I opted to take the easy route and just buy a bag. Don’t worry they are free range, organic, cruelty free sweet potato fries. Ok, they weren’t free range or cruelty free. But that is only because I don’t think that option comes with sweet potatoes fries. Just you wait – it’s coming.

I tried all three Manwich varieties but hands down my favorite was the Bold. It added a nice zing to the sauce and went perfectly with the spiced sweet potato fries. Trust me. If you are looking for a nice hearty snack this dish totally fits the bill! Plus you get to then smother the fries, top with cheese and enter food heaven.

Seriously, what more could you be asking for?
