In a 6-quart pot add wine, apple cider, orange juice, cloves, star anise, and cinnamon sticks. Simmer gently for about an hour. If you would like a sweeter spiced wine you can add up to ½ cup brown sugar per batch.
Turn down the heat to low (to keep it warm) and add in fresh cranberries, orange slices, and apple slices. Keep warm and serve warm.
