These cheddar sausage cornmeal waffles are packed full of sriracha, cheddar cheese, and breakfast sausage. Top with a fried egg and call it breakfast.

  • Preheat waffle iron.
  • In a large mixing bowl whisk together flour, cornmeal, baking soda, smoked paprika, baking powder and chipotle chile powder.
  • In another bowl whisk together buttermilk, maple syrup, olive oil and sriracha.
  • Pour the buttermilk mixture into the flour mixture and stir to combine.
  • Fold in diced sausage and shredded cheese.
  • Spray your waffle iron with nonstick spray and cook waffles according to waffle iron directions.
  • Top warm waffles with fried eggs and a drizzle of sriracha.
