Ingredients

  • 2 tablespoons fresh blackberries
  • 2 tablespoons fresh raspberries
  • 6 mint leaves
  • 2 large lime wedges
  • 2 tablespoons superfine sugar
  • 4 ounces rum
  • Seltzer water

Instructions

  • Take two short cocktail glasses and fill with equal parts blackberries, raspberries, mint leaves and sweetener.
  • Squeeze lime wedges into the glass and pour in rum.
  • Muddle the mixture together breaking up the berries and bruising the mint.
  • Add in ice and top with seltzer.
  • Gently stir to combine.

Notes

If you want to use a no-calorie sugar replacement start with 1-2 teaspoons per glass (if you're using something like Truvia) or 1-2 packets of your favorite sweetener such as Splenda or Equal.
You can also use simple sugary syrup if you have it on hand.
