For chicken:
- 2 pounds chicken drumettes
For glaze/sauce:
- 3/4 cup pineapple juice
- 3/4 cup mango nectar
- 1/4 cup red chili sauce Frank's Red Hot
- 2 tablespoons honey
- 2 tablespoons habanero hot sauce
- 5 tablespoons unsalted butter
For topping:
- Granulated honey
- Dried Aleppo pepper flakes
For chicken:
Preheat oven to 400 degrees F. and line a rimmed baking sheet with parchment paper or a Silpat liner.
Add chicken wings to the prepared baking sheet, bake for 20 minutes, flip sides and back for another 20 minutes. (If your chicken wings are on the smaller size cut down the cooking time to 15 minutes per side.)
Once fully cooked and crispy, toss wings in the sauce and sprinkle with granulated honey and Aleppo pepper flakes if desired.
For glaze/sauce:
In a medium-sized pot add pineapple juice, mango nectar, red chili sauce, honey, and habanero hot sauce.
Simmer for about 20-30 minutes or until the sauce is thick and sticky.
Whisk in the butter to create a thick sauce that will coat the wings. Keep warm.
