Summertime Sangria

This simple summer sangria is made with a delicious red wine mixed with triple sec, brandy, fresh fruit, and a little sugar. You'll love this simple summertime sipper!

Ingredients

  • 1 (750 ml) bottle dry red wine
  • cup granulated sugar
  • ¼ cup orange juice
  • ¼ cup brandy
  • ¼ cup triple sec liqueur
  • 1 large red apple cored and cubed
  • ½ large orange thinly sliced
  • 1 whole lime thinly sliced
  • ½ cup sliced strawberries
  • ½ cup halved fresh cherries
  • 1 liter plain seltzer water

Instructions

  • In a pitcher combine red wine, granulated sugar, orange juice, brandy, and triple sec. Stir to combine.
  • Add in your apple, orange, lime, strawberries, and cherries. Stir to combine.
  • Place your pitcher in the refrigerator for at least 2 hours to let the flavors meld, and the sugar has time to dissolve.
  • To serve, fill each glass with ice, fill it 2/3 of the way full with the wine mixture, and top it with seltzer water. Don't forget to eat the delicious wine soaked fruit!
