Balsamic Strawberries

These balsamic strawberries are the perfect summertime dessert. Made with aged balsamic and topped with fresh whipped cream.

Ingredients

For berries:

  • 1 pound strawberries hulled and sliced
  • 2 tablespoons granulated sugar
  • 1 tablespoon aged balsamic vinegar

For whipped cream:

  • 1 cup heavy whipping cream cold

Instructions

For berries:

  • In a small mixing bowl add strawberries, granulated sugar, and balsamic vinegar and stir to combine.
  • Cover and sit for 30 minutes at room temperature.
  • Spoon into serving bowls and top with fresh whipped cream if desired.

For whipped cream:

  • In a cold metal bowl add cream and whip with a whisk until stiff peaks have formed.  You can also use a mixer to whip the cream.
