Servings 30 pigs in a blanket

Ingredients

  • 8 ounce package crescent dough sheets see notes
  • 14 ounce package 14 ounce package mini sausages
  • 1 large egg beaten with a splash of water
  • 2 tablespoons everything bagel seasoning
  • ¼ cup country dijon mustard
  • 3 tablespoons honey for dipping

Instructions

  • Unroll the crescent dough into a long rectangle.
  • Cut the dough into thirds lengthwise and then cut each portion into thin strips, about ¼ inch thick. I recommend a pizza cutter for this, but a knife will work too!
  • Wrap one piece of dough around each mini sausage and pinch the seam to secure the dough. Place the wrapped sausage on a parchment-lined baking sheet and repeat with the remaining sausages.
  • When the sausages are all wrapped, brush each one with egg wash and top with a pinch of everything bagel seasoning.
  • Bake for 13-15 minutes, or until the pigs-in-a-blanket are golden brown.
  • Serve this pigs-in-a-blanket with honey mustard, ketchup, or bbq sauce. Enjoy warm or at room temperature.
  • Storage: This pigs-in-a-blanket is best enjoyed on the day they are made, however, they can be kept in an airtight container in the fridge for up to two days.

Notes

  • If you cannot find crescent sheets you can use crescent rolls. Just unroll the package and gently press together the tear lines.
