Coquito Recipe

- 1 (15 ounce) can cream of coconut
- 1 (14 ounce) can sweetened condensed milk
- 1 (13.5 ounce) can full fat coconut milk
- 1 (12 ounce) can evaporated milk
- 2 whole cinnamon sticks
- 1/2 teaspoon ground nutmeg freshly grated
- 1½ cups dark rum
- 2 teaspoons vanilla bean paste
In a large saucepan whisk together cream of coconut, sweetened condensed milk, coconut milk, and evaportated milk until smooth and combined.
Add in your cinnamon sticks and nutmeg and set over medium heat. Gently warm the mixture until you just start to see it simmer. You should see small bubbles just starting to form around the edges of the pot.
Remove from the heat, cover, and let sit for 1 hour.
After an hour, remove the lid and cinnamon sticks.
Whisk in rum and vanilla bean paste.
Add to a serving container or pitcher and chill for at least 4 hours before serving.
Store refrigerated for up to 4 days.
