The Twelve Boozy Days of Christmas – Ginger Snap Side Car

Welcome to day five of The Twelve Boozy Days of Christmas!

I had never tasted St. Germain Liquor before I made this drink.  I was leery. A liquor derived from the elderflower blossoms….would it be good? It is. Tasty and delicious. Mixed with all wonderful flavors of cognac, gin, ginger and apple juice this cocktail is perfect for keeping you in the holiday spirit :)

Last night I went into the city and saw the Christmas tree. It was so beautiful. Even thought there were hundreds of people and I was packed in like a sardine, it was still fun :)

Ginger Snap Side Car:

1 1/2 parts St. Germain
1 1/2 parts Cognac
1 part Gin
1/2 part Freshly squeezed lemon juice
3 pieces Ginger
1/4 part Apple Juice

Muddle ginger pieces with apple juice and lemon juice in a shaker. Add the remaining ingredients with ice and shake vigorously. Strain into a chilled coupe glass and garnish with ginger candy or burnt orange peel.
