Pumpkin Pie Spice Rice Krispie Treats

One Year Ago: Coconut Spiced Kissed Pumpkin Pie

I would like to let you all in on a little secret. These rice krispie treats are the BEST I have ever had. Oh yes. I’m making that statement. I know it sounds drastic but it is the truth. The addition of pumpkin pie spice adds tons of warm Fall flavor. I thought it made the krispie treat taste like Apple Cinnamon Cheerios. Which is one of my favorite cereals…so you can see why I loved these :)

Since I’m a nanny I had the little girl I watch and her friend help me decorate the treats. I thought since Halloween was going to be here it would be fun to make these treats a little more festive. I did not necessarily find the frosting to taste the best (sorry Betty Crocker) but it was still fun :)

Enjoy!

Pumpkin Pie Spice Rice Krispie Treats:

4 tablespoons butter
6 cups mini marshmallows
2 1/2 teaspoons pumpkin pie spice
6 cups rice krispies

Lightly grease 9×13 pan. Set aside.

Melt butter in large pot. Add marshmallows and stir until melted and smooth. Add pumpkin pie spice and stir to combine. Remove from heat and add rice krispies. Mix until cereal is coated with marshmallow mixture. Press mixture into prepared pan and let cool to set up. Enjoy!
