This is not your average hot chocolate. It’s spiced with cinnamon, allspice, cardamom, cinnamon and just a drizzle of molasses…
Today is a great day. Why you ask? Well I’m sharing this amazing gingerbread white hot chocolate recipe. The great thing is that you add all the ingredients to the machine (yes the ingredients are cold) turn on the machine and let it do it’s magic. In just about 4 minutes you will have piping hot hot chocolate. Plus since I’m obsessed with gingerbread lattes from Starbucks this is the perfect hot chocolate version. It has just the right amount of molasses and spice flavor and mixes perfectly with the sweet white chocolate. To make it even more decadent I added fresh whipped cream on top and drizzled it with more molasses.
Say hello to my new favorite winter treat.
Gingerbread White Hot Chocolate
Gingerbread white hot chocolate made in a Vitamix and ready in 4 minutes. Just add cold ingredients to the machine, turn it on and let it do it's work.
Yield: 2 drinks
Prep Time: 5 minutes
Cook Time: 5 minutes
Total Time: 10 minutes
Ingredients:
- 1-1/2 cups whole milk
- 1/2 cup white chocolate chips
- 2 teaspoons molasses
- 1/2 teaspoon apple pie spice (mix of cinnamon, ginger, nutmeg, allspice and cardamom)
- Whipped cream
Directions:
Add all ingredients except the whipped cream into your Vitamix blender. If you have a Vitamix Blender that has a hot soup preset option set it and forget it! (Well, don't forget it...drink it after it's done)
After your hot chocolate is finished pour it into a mug, top with whipped cream and drizzle with molasses.
If your Vitamix does not have a preset option simple blend on high until hot. This will take about 4 minutes.
* If you don't have a Vitamix you can simply heat the ingredients on the stove top.
