If you follow along with me on Instagram you’ll have noticed in March I escaped the NY cold and lived it up for a week in the Caribbean. It was warm, sunny and I got to eat all the delicious food I could handle. Basically it was the most perfect vacation ever! Trust me – if you need a relaxing vacation you need to get on a Regal Princess Caribbean Cruise.
Princess Cays, Bahamas
Our first island visit was to Princess Cays in the Bahamas. It’s small little island that is perfect for relaxing. I would love to tell you that I spend the day doing something productive but truly I sat in my lounge chair, drank piña coladas and soaked up the sun.
We also had these adorable little air conditioned bungalows that not only provided a little cooling but was a great place to store all of our bags. I had bought a big camera with me that I knew needed a little protection from the sun. Plus it was a great place to sit for lunch.
Oh and look at the cuteness of this crab! Julie’s friend spotted it on the beach so I couldn’t help but take a picture. Love!
St. Thomas USVI
Our next island stop was St. Thomas. I woke up to us docking into the port and all these lovely sailboats just hanging out in the harbor. I wish I could say that I hung out on the island but instead I hoped on a boat to Tortola for a little dolphin fun.
The ferry ride over to Tortola was a little choppy but the view was amazing! I sat up on the top deck and took it all in. Plus I heard it was snowing in NY so I was taking in the sun.
When we finally arrived to Tortola I headed on over to Dolphin Discovery. Squeeeeeee dolphin rides!!!! It was magical.
When we got back to the boat I was a little sun kissed (ok, burned) but I was able to just relax on our balcony and gawk at all the luxury yachts just hanging out in the port. So nice!
St. Maarten/St. Martin
Our last island visit was St. Maarten. At this point I was ready to just relax and enjoy my last island day of paradise. We hung out on the beach, ate delicious seafood and got stuck in the middle of a short lived thunder storm.
No worries. We got to hang out at the bar and enjoy a few drinks while the wind went crazy and the sand went flying.
We also hit up Maho Beach {sometimes called Airplane Beach} to watch the planes come in. Unfortunately we were there in the morning so the big planes don’t get in till the afternoon so we only saw smaller planes landing. Still totally cool though.
If you’re looking for something to do in St. Maarten I highly recommend it!

I have spent a day in the Princess Cays with my hubby and parents and we had such a great time - I think it is a shame you can only spend a day there - I would like to spend a week!

Beyond gorgeous photos!!! I LOVE them! Did you carry your full frame camera with you? I remember you talking about your camera on fb and I can't remember which one you have.
Agree with Toni, the one with you and the dolphin is the cutest!
