I traveled to Chile in partnership with Chile Travel. I was not paid to write this post but I did receive a free trip. And, For our travels and tours through the Pucon region of Chile we used Bercovich Travels!

One of my favorite activities, while I was in Chile, was visiting the Termas Geometricas near Pucon, Chile. It was a cold rainy day and the PERFECT rainy day activity. Even though the air was chilly you were rewarded with warm water with each pool you visited. Luckily, each pool had the temperature written on a sign so you knew just how warm of water you were about to get into.

The only thing that made me sad about the day was the fact that I only had a few hours to enjoy the naturally warm water. Sigh. Spa days are never long enough – am I right?

I was a little nervous at first because I wasn’t sure what to expect at the hot springs. Would it be clean? Would they smell? Would it be worth the trip? The answer to all those questers are yes, no and yes.

We arrived early in the morning and it was uncrowded but by the time we left around 12 pm it was getting really crowded. Because it was a cold rainy day it made the hot springs a pretty popular place to visit. Luckily during check in you get a locker and there are changing rooms so no need to worry about not having a place to change.

Although, I will say this. The changing rooms aren’t super duper protected so if someone were very tall they might be able to see over the top. Honestly, it didn’t really bother me. No one was going out of their way to sneak a peek.

All of the hot springs are connected to each other by a wooden walkway that winds you through the forest. I will say this – the wood gets slippery. So be careful while you walk and most definitely no running. Also, all the pools are varying temperatures so make sure to pay attention to the signs that let you know how hot the water is that you’re about to get into. Some range from bath water warm while others are so warm you’ll look like a little lobster when you get out.

There is also a fun waterfall plunge pool that is FREEZING cold that I really wanted to get into but my body could not handle the cold polar bear waters.

Oh, and I had just gotten the new iPhone 7 so I was super happy that I could bring it into the hot springs with me to play a little game of “let’s apply a Snapchat filter and see how pretty I can make myself look.”

Chile has a lot of different hot springs that you can visit but what I loved about the Termas Geometricas is that it was clean and very beautiful. It will get crowded on weekends and cooler/rainy days but still totally worth it in my opinion. There is also a little cafe on premises if you feel the need for a little nosh. Oh, and you will feel like you’re going to the middle of nowhere while driving to the hot springs – this is normal. It is literally in the middle of the nowhere off a bumpy dirt road.
