This ginger spiked apple cider is the perfect addition to your fall cocktail menu. It’s the perfect use for fresh pressed apple cider and that hint of ginger liqueur and splash of dark rum round out this cocktail perfectly.
Here in New York, it’s not hard to find a tasty gallon of fresh pressed apple cider. I love its freshness and, in my opinion, it’s a million times better tasting than apple juice. However, how do you take something perfect and make it better? Give it a little splash of ginger liqueur and dark rum!
This drink is perfect for sipping at a party or even while sitting at home wrapping presents. That’s right. Wrapping presents is not the same if you don’t have a little drink to keep you company. Trust me on this one. Drinking makes wrapping a million times better.
I would also argue that drinking while wrapping while also watching Hallmark movies is the trifecta of Christmas happiness. BUT there are a lot of people who would disagree – *cough cough* my husband. I mean, what is better than cheesy movies where everyone has picture perfect families and Christmas is a big giant magical spectacle?
I’m also going to go on record by saying that you should really use fresh pressed cider for this cocktail. There is seriously nothing like it. So full of apple flavor and totally delicious!

Hi All, This recipe looks devine. I priced ginger liqueur with the LCBO and it is frightfully expensive. I may have to opt of ginger syrup as an option and sip it alcohol free. Sure will be tasty. Merry Christmas, All. Pa

I'm not a huge fan of apple juice but cider is a whole other thing! It's just so good. But you're right - even better with some alcohol!
