10 Last Minute Memorial Day Recipes

These 10 last minute Memorial Day recipes will help you finally figure out what you’re making this weekend! I have you covered from main course to dessert.

10 Last Minute Memorial Day Recipes by Nutmeg Nanny

It’s finally summer! Well, it’s almost the kickoff to summer – Memorial Day!  I’m hoping this means that Mother Nature will get her act together and start giving me some sun. My plan for the weekend is to totally suck upthe vitamin D and maybe get a tan.

In reality I will probably just eat too many hot dogs and drink too many drinks.

What can I say. I’m classy.

So anyway, I put together this fancy little round up to help give you a few Memorial Day ideas. If you’re anything like me you’re still attempting to figure out what to bring to all the BBQ’s you are attending this weekend. If this weeks recipes (peanut butter and jelly chicken wings, strawberry goat cheese quinoa salad and buttermilk Southwestern chicken wings) didn’t inspire you (which I totally hope they did!) you might just find a few new favorites in this post!

Have a great weekend friends!

Last Minute Memorial Day Main Course Recipes by Nutmeg Nanny

Hello main course! Memorial day is not set if I do not have a grilled hot dog. I know that sounds totally lame but I need my grilled dogs. It’s my mental kick off to summer. Normally I just smother them in yellow (not brown!) mustard but sometimes I get fancy and add on salsa, coleslaw and even homemade chili. Oh and if you’re really looking it impress you could always make a grilled pork tenderloin. So good!

P.S. Don’t forget the potato salad. It’s a BBQ must!

Grilled Pork Tenderloin with Avocado Salsa

Andouille Chili Dogs

Bacon Ranch Potato Salad

30 Second Peach Jalapeño Salsa Hot Dog

Slaw Topped Hot Dogs with Crispy Corned Beef

You did not think I would put together a holiday round-up and think I would forget cocktails!  You know me, right?

Applejack Raspberry Lemonade

Peach Mint Bourbon Sweet Tea

Last Minute Memorial Day Dessert Recipes by Nutmeg Nanny

Lastly we have dessert. How can any party happen and not have dessert. Each of these dishes are super easy to throw together and will have your guests comings back for seconds. Trust me, you need to make at least one of these recipes!

Red, White and Blueberry Sour Cream Tart

Cheesecake Stuffed Strawberries

Sweet Grape Salad

I honestly had no idea it was Memorial Day weekend until yesterday (I’m from Canada, don’t judge) so I am TOTALLY in need of these ideas! Thanks! Pinned 🙂 Happy weekend!

I, too, hope Mother Nature can get in gear! We had a tornado warning yesterday, buckets of rain and today, a chill. I mean, it’s sunny but still. No beach-hopping when there’s a chill! Either way, I love this round up! Everything is so summery, there’s no way I can still be annoyed about chilly weather!

Loving all the dishes in this round-up… especially the pork with the avocado salsa. YUM!
It’s just a regular weekend up here in Canada, but I might still throw a couple of these on my menu anyways. 🙂 (Our long weekend was last week – we celebrate the queen’s birthday on third weekend of May, because we’re weird and because it’s a good excuse to take an extra day off work to sit outdoors and drink beer.)

I wish our weather would cooperate here in Colorado, but it’s looking like more clouds and rain all weekend, not good for getting a tan! Love this roundup of recipes, that Red, White, and Blueberry Sour Cream Tart is calling to me!

Wow what a wonderful post. I have the luxury of NO plans this weekend, which is highly unlikely. Thus if something comes up, it will definitely be last minute. I am taken care of here.
