Heyyyyyyyy you guyssssssssss! It’s football time! This is my favorite time of the year because it means I get to eat. all. the. football. food.

The sport, in general, I care a very little bit about.

When there is a game on TV I pretty much zone it out while dreaming of the time the game is over so I can put on a Lifetime movie.

I know, I constantly talk about Lifetime movies but they are so good. You really need to get on board with that!

Now, I know for me I normally think of game day food as chili or something else warm and comforting but I’m taking all that warmth and savory goodness into a sandwich.

I LOVE baked sandwiches and these babies are packed full of delicious fall flavor.

The sandwich starts with a maple mayonnaise and then it’s topped with sliced turkey, (also a great use for leftover Thanksgiving turkey!) sliced Land O Lakes® Deli American, caramelized onions, and crispy bacon.

Then I topped it all with a delicious butter/brown sugar/onion mixture that brings BIG TIME flavor to these sandwiches.

When I made these sandwiches my husband walked into the kitchen and was all “umm…can I eat these?”

To which I was all “No! I still need to photograph them! You know you don’t get hot food right out of the oven in this house.”

Haha, that sounds so sad but 100% true.

Don’t worry – they still tasted awesome not piping hot.

These sandwiches are one of the most delicious ones I have ever had! I had made hoagie buns so I used them. I ate mine hot then the next day cold. Good either way!
