This blood orange ginger margarita is the perfect cocktail for your weekend parties! This baby uses blood oranges and pairs it with spicy ginger, lime juice, tequila and agave stevia blend syrup. You’re going to love how easy it is to make these fresh and seasonal cocktails!

There are a lot of things I love but at the top of that list is really good margaritas. I’m not talking about those margs that are made from store bought mixes that are overly sour, overly sweet and cause major heartburn. Listen, my 35-year-old body just cannot handle those cheap drinks anymore. So. Much. Heartburn. BUT now that I’m a real adult, I know how to make a mean margarita and this blood orange ginger margarita is hands down my new favorite. This baby is PACKED full of flavor!
Plus it’s sweetened with Whole Earth Sweetener Agave 50 blend so it’s 50% fewer calories per serving than traditional agave. Heck. Yes.
The other thing I love about this cocktail is the use of blood oranges. I remember the first time I saw a blood orange, and I was in love. They are so richly colored that I can’t help but pick them up the second I see them available in the store. If only they were available all year long. My citrus loving heart would be sooooooo happy.
Oh, you know what else I love about the agave stevia blend I used in this drink? It’s Non-GMO Project verified, organic and uses high-quality ingredients. This makes me so happy! As someone who deals with sugar issues, it’s nice to be able to drizzle some sweetness in my cocktails and not worry too much about the sugar spike.
Since blood oranges aren’t always available you could easily sub in a regular navel orange BUT just know the flavor will be a bit different. BUTBUTBUT if you see this recipe today, and run to the store TODAY, then you should easily be able to find these oranges. They are so pretty, I can’t say it enough. Not only will you love these oranges, but you’ll love the Whole Earth Sweetener Agave 50 too.
