This homemade peanut butter Oreo ice cream is made with homemade vanilla ice cream and packed full of peanut butter Oreos. If you love ice cream, Oreos and peanut butter this dessert is for you!
I have a really bad relationship with Oreos. I absolutely cannot keep them in the house or I will just eat them all. I’m not even kidding. In a few days that package will be gone. My husbands laughs at my lack of self control. I seriously think they must put something in those bad boys because there is no other cookie that does that to me.
Then a few weeks ago I saw they came out with a peanut butter Oreos.
Sweet baby J they are trying to kill me.
I held off on buying a package for awhile and then decided I needed to buy some for homemade ice cream. But really we all know I bought that first package and ate it in one day. So I had to go back to the store and buy more.
I told you. I cannot be trusted when there are Oreos in the house.
I should also mention OXO sent me some fun ice cream making goodies so it’s really their fault that I had to make this ice cream. Plus, as previously mentioned, I really needed a good reason to buy some peanut butter Oreos.
I have to share what OXO sent me because I love their products and have been using these goodies nonstop!

This ice cream was so simple to make that I’m not sure why I don’t make homemade ice cream more often. If it wasn’t for the fact that my ice cream maker bowl takes up so much space in my freezer I would probably make (and eat) ice cream every single day.
Maybe it’s a blessing in disguise I don’t have a lot of room in my freezer to keep my bowl frozen 24/7.
Or I could just buy this totally awesome ice cream maker and then I would never have to worry about planning ahead.
Yes. I like that idea best.

Just made this recipe and it is intensely delicious! My husband didn't believe me when I told him it was homemade! It doesn't have the consistency of homemade and it has so much flavor, but not too rich! He's very sensitive to too rich desserts and this is just right. Definitely a keeper! Thank you!

When I saw that bag of mini peanut butter Oreos in the store I actually resisted buying them because 1) I knew I would inhale them before setting eyes on a recipe and 2)I actually have a bag of Reese's Oreos I need to bake into something. Total slacker. Maybe I'll just make this ice cream with them O:-)

Oh, no. Well now I HAVE to go to the store and pick up a box of these. And then I HAVE to eat the whole thing. And then I HAVE to go buy another one. And then ice cream can happen.
