Looking for the perfect way to start your day?

Look no further than this delicious s’more iced coffee!

It’s perfectly sweet because it’s topped with marshmallow fluff and drizzled with chocolate sauce. If you’re a fan of s’mores or just flavored coffee you’ll love this drink!

A few years ago I tried the s’mores frappuccino from Starbucks which was the big inspiration for this iced coffee drink. However, I hate costly it can be to buy from Starbucks so I went ahead and made my own easier version.

Instead of doing a blended coffee drink, I opted to instead stick strictly to iced coffee because it’s easier, I always have it hand, and I don’t have to dirty my blender.

It’s all about convienance for me.

What do I need to make s’mores iced coffee?

Making s’mores iced coffee is super simple but you will need a few simple ingredients.

  • Cold strong brewed coffee
    • I like to use either homemade cold brew or cold brew concentrate.
  • Chocolate sauce
    • I used the simple store bought kind.
  • Marshmallow fluff
    • You can use either marshmallow fluff or marshmallow creme.
  • Crushed graham crackers
    • You can’t have a s’mores iced coffee without the graham!
  • Half and half or creamer
    • I like to use half and half as it’s creamy and dreamy and really rounds out the sweetness of the drink.

Do I have to use marshmallow fluff?

You don’t have to use marshmallow fluff but you’ll lose out on the added flavor and sweetness. And, since this is a s’mores iced coffee you’ll want that marshmallow flavor.

If you can’t find marshmallow fluff or marshmallow creme you could also use toasted marshmallows on top.

Toasted marshmallows won’t stir into the coffee as well as marshmallow fluff but will still be pretty. I used toasted marshmallows on top of my double chocolate s’mores milkshake and they were very tasty!

Where can I find marshmallow fluff?

You can find marshmallow fluff or marshmallow creme in almost any single grocery store in the United States.

It will typically be found either in the candy aisle near the whole marshmallows, in the baking aisle, or sometimes it’s found near where you would find ice cream goodies like toppings, sprinkles, and cones.

What is cold brew coffee and do I have to use it?

The type of coffee you use for this s’mores iced coffee can easily depend on what you have on hand and what you prefer.

Cold brew coffee is just a way of making coffee where you soak ground coffee in water until the flavor of the coffee is leached into the water resulting in a less acidic coffee product.

I usually always have cold brew concentrate on hand so that is what I will typically use in almost any iced coffee recipe. However, you can use almost any cold coffee you might have. Even if it’s leftover from the day before – it will work!

You can find cold brew concentrate at most grocery stores. My favorite cold brew concentrate is from Trader Joe’s. It’s pretty strong so make sure you follow directions and cut it with water.

You can also find cold brew coffee ready to use in the refrigerated section of most grocery stores. Common brands are Starbucks, Stok, Chameleon, and La Colombe.

Do I have to use half and half in my iced coffee?

Not at all! I personally prefer half and half since it’s what I have on hand. Plus, I really love the richness half and half brings to my coffee.

However, if you’re not a fan you can use heavy cream, whole milk, coffee whitener, or even heavy cream mixed with whole milk to create a half and half like product.

Because the addition of chocolate sauce and marshmallow fluff I would likely stay way from flavored creamers as they are typically very sweet.

This was delicious! I used Hershey’s chocolate syrup and found my rim dropped but could that be because of that particular syrup? I also had a bit of trouble with the marshmallow fluff sticking to the spoon instead of going into the drink 🤣 any tips?
