This bacon egg and cheese cranberry sauce breakfast sandwich is the perfect addition to your morning routine. There is so much flavor packed into this sandwich you’ll be wondering why you haven’t been making it your whole life.
Breakfast time is the basically my favorite time of the day. I mean, think about it. You can go straight up savory, straight up sweet or my personal favorite – sweet and savory! I mean, what’s better than delicious eggs, bacon, spinach and spread of sweet and tart homemade cranberry sauce. (Listen, I know I always say I hate breakfast I want to clarify I hate cooking breakfast for myself. I love when other people make it for me, haha.)
Now, I know you’re probably thinking “wait, cranberry sauce is designated for Thanksgiving and Christmas only. Well, I happen to think that is a totally outdated food policy. There is no wrong time for cranberry sauce. It’s readily available in the stores during all seasons AND (if you’re like me) you can easily freeze bags of fresh cranberries. When they go on sale in the winter I pick them up on sale and keep in my freezer all. year. long.
I mostly do this because I can’t live without those tarty little berries. They are great in smoothies, for making sauces and of course in delicious baked goods.
Now, about this sandwich – you’re going to LOVE it! First, I took delicious marble rye bread and used it to sandwich tart cranberry sauce, white cheddar cheese, crispy bacon, fried eggs, and tasty baby spinach. Then this baby got grilled and turned into one heck of a breakfast sandwich. I mean, if you’re like me you would also totally dig this sandwich for dinner too.
I know you know I have a very weak spot in my heart for sandwiches.
Now, I don’t know if you’re one of those “I make my fried sandwich in a pan type of people” but you need to know you can make them so much easier with a griddler. Now, this is not sponsored I just REALLY love them and I think passing on any type of sandwich making advice is 100% necessary in life.

Bacon Egg and Cheese Cranberry Sauce Breakfast Sandwich
This bacon egg and cheese cranberry sauce breakfast sandwich is the perfect addition to your morning routine. There is so much flavor packed into this sandwich you'll be wondering why you haven't been making it your whole life.

Prep Time: 10 minutes
Cook Time: 20 minutes
Total Time: 30 minutes
- 2 slices marble rye bread
- 2 tablespoon unsalted bread
- 2 tablespoons cranberry sauce
- 4 slices white cheddar cheese
- 4 crispy slices cooked bacon
- 2 overhard cooked eggs
- 1/4 cup packed baby spinach leaves
Lay out your bread and butter one side of each slice with 1 tablespoon of butter.
Flip the bread over and spread 1 tablespoon cranberry sauce on each slice of bread.
Lay 2 slices of cheese on top of each slice of bead overtop of the cranberry sauce.
On one slice layer the bacon, eggs, and spinach over top the cheese. Top with the other slice of bread making sure that both buttered sides of the bread are on the outside.
Add a large pan (or griddler) and set over medium heat. When the pan is hot add in the sandwich, cook until golden, flip and cook on the other side until golden. Try not to cook too fast because you want to make sure the cheese has time to melt so the sandwich is nice and warm.
