This sweet chocolate Guinness sauce is perfect on top creamy vanilla or chocolate ice cream. In just 15 minutes you could be enjoying this delicious sauce!
I wanted to do something a little different with my Guinness so I decided to try and make a chocolate sauce. It turned out delicious and on top of vanilla ice cream it was heaven….yum! I used bittersweet chocolate and sweetened it a bit with golden syrup and brown sugar. The Guinness flavor was mild but mixed with the chocolate it paired nicely. I have a feeling if I used Guinness extra stout it would have picked up more of the beer flavor. Either way I would say I’m satisfied with my first ever ice cream topping and can’t wait to make more…Enjoy!!!

By any chance does the sauce freeze when it comes in contact with the ice cream? :)

Nope. It cooled down but didn't freeze up.

Last night, I attempted a different kind of syrup for ice cream made with Guinness, and it didn't work quite. So, I just made this one, and it's delicious! Thanks for this.
