This sweet chocolate Guinness sauce is perfect for creamy vanilla or chocolate ice cream. In just 15 minutes, you could be enjoying this delicious sauce!

I wanted to do something a little different with my Guinness, so I decided to try making a chocolate sauce.
It turned out delicious and on top of vanilla ice cream, it was heaven! I used bittersweet chocolate and sweetened it with golden syrup and brown sugar.
The Guinness flavor was mild but mixed with the chocolate it paired nicely.
I have a feeling if I used Guinness extra stout, it would have picked up more of the beer flavor.
Either way, I’m satisfied with my first-ever ice cream topping and can’t wait to make more…Enjoy!!!

Chocolate Guinness Sauce

Ingredients
- 2/3 cup Guinness beer
- 1/3 cup heavy cream
- 5 ounces bittersweet chocolate, chopped
- 1 tablespoon light corn syrup
- 1 tablespoon dark brown sugar
Instructions
- Add all ingredients to a 8-inch saucepan and place over medium heat.
- Gently whisk together mixture as it melts over the heat.
- Cook until the sauce starts to thicken, making sure to whisk while it cooks.
- Serve over ice cream, warm or room temperature.
- Store in the fridge in an airtight jar for up to 1 week.

Perfectly delicious over ice cream!!
what if i don’t wanna eat it over ice cream? what if i wanna eat it with a spoon? 🙂
Even though I’m not a fan of beer, I’d be willing to give this sauce a try! Especially when it’s served up over some ice cream 🙂 Yum!
So decadent, it looks lovely over the ice cream.
