I did A LOT of eating on my Regal Princess Caribbean cruise but nothing compares to the Regal Princess Chef’s Table Lumiere dinner. Holy moley was it amazing! Lots of food, wine, a behind the scenes look at the kitchen and a chance to chat with the chef aboard the boat. Trust me, if you want a memorable dinner you have to do the Chef’s Table Lumiere!

We started off by chatting with Chef Shaun Candon. He talked to use about working on board and what goes into the day to day cooking aboard a giant ship.

Look at that smile! That is the look of a man who loves his job.

We also got to wear these snazzy white jackets that made me feel like a doctor. Although I’m not really sure that is the point of the jackets.
Whatevs.

We got to feast on a few appetizers while hanging out in the kitchen. Seriously, look at that carving work! I can barely cut a watermelon with ease let alone carve a person out of one.
Serious talent in that kitchen!

Champagne time!

Next we were brought to our special Chef’s table. I know this is going to sound ridiculous but do you have any idea how amazing it is to be swept away to your own private table and served course after course of amazing food?
This is my idea of dining!

I also squeezed in a #selfie because why not?

The food was ahhhhhhhmazing and I devoured each and every single bite. Look at that chocolate dessert? I wish something like that would show up in my kitchen.

This is one of my favorite pictures of the night. Look at that beautiful sorbet. It was made even better after they drizzled a little tequila on top.
What doesn’t tequila make better?

This was our hard working crew for the night. They served us a gourmet meal all with a smile on their face. I had such an amazing time dining at the chef’s table that I will talk about it forever.
There are limited seatings so they sell out fast. That means when you book your Regal Princess cruise you better get on this ASAP!
Also I owe a GIANT thank you to my friend Melissa of Surprise Photography for joining me on my cruise and capturing these amazing dinner shots. You’re the best Melissa!

ahhhhhhmazing photos!!!!!
You always have some of the best pics ever! I love the shot of the selfie shot. The food looks amazing and you have so artfully conveyed the feel of the experience too; thank you for sharing it all!
Bubbly, delicious food made by awesome chefs?! Count me in!
I LOVE your photos from this!!! And while I am still not sure I want to go on a cruise, this definitely convinces me it is a better experience than I thought. Food wise for sure. Thanks for sharing!
Loooooove all of this artistically created food! GORGEOUS!! Just another reason why I need to finally book a Princess cruise!
Oh you are soooo lucky to have eaten all that delicious food! I think I would have thought I died and went to heaven! This is definitely NOT like the food I had on the only other cruise I’ve been on (and was so put off) -it was NOT Princess, btw. 🙂
LOVE the selfie with the chef and maitre’d! OMG, too cute! Your photos are gorgeous and make me want to go on a cruise again!
That selfie shot with the chef and maitre’d? I die! It’s amazing!
Such beautiful photos that Melissa captured! She needs to be our travel photographer that we bring everywhere. I’m sure she wouldn’t mind 😉 so glad you and I were in the same group for Lumiere’s table! We had a blast together <3
This was one of my favorite nights on the cruise! Such amazing food – and Melissa makes me envious with her talent!
Oh my goodness- those carved fruits and vegetables! How talented these chefs are! This definitely looks a foodie’s dream experience. If my husband ever talks me into a cruise, I will definitely be keeping the Regal Princess and this chef’s table experience at the top of my list. 🙂 And P.S.- GORGEOUS photos!
