Ingredients to make iced coffee on a table.

Ingredients for Samoas iced coffee

  • Coffee – Use your favorite roast!
  • Caramel sauce – The caramel sauce will add a sweet, caramel flavor to the coffee, and help the toasted coconut stick to the rim of the glass.
  • Coconut milk and toasted coconut – Using both of these will give us that delicious, nutty, coconut flavor.
  • Whipped cream – Feel free to use homemade or your favorite store-bought variety.
  • Chocolate sauce – The chocolate sauce is drizzled on top of the whipped cream, to match the drizzles on top of a samoas cookie!

What are Samoas?

Samoas, or caramel delites, are vanilla cookies, coated in gooey caramel and toasted coconut, and drizzled with chocolate.

They’re sold every year by Girl Scouts, and are one of the most popular flavors they sell!

Make it sugar free

This samoas iced coffee can be made to your idea of perfection!

If you cannot have sugar:

Feel free to replace the chocolate sauce and caramel sauce with sugar-free varieties. They can be found in most major grocery stores right next to the ones with regular sugar.

Turn it into a homemade frozen coffee

If you’re craving a blended coffee drink all you need to do is toss everything, except the toasted coconut and the whipped cream, in the blender, and blend away!

Top it with the toasted coconut and whipped cream, and you have yourself a fancy coffee house blended drink that tastes way better than anything you could get in a drive-thru!

Swap up those flavors

There are a lot of flavored syrups being sold these days (in both regular and sugar-free varieties) that would complement this Samoas iced coffee really well!

Feel free to try a little caramel-flavored syrup to enhance the caramel flavors in your drink, or a little coconut syrup if you’re looking to increase the nuttiness!

Storage and leftovers

These Samoas iced coffees are best consumed right after they’re made, so unfortunately, there are no leftovers here!

  1. Can you make this with oat milk and rolled oats in place of the coconut? I am allergic to coconut.

    1. Hi Kelly – one the key flavors of samoas is coconut so it will definitely taste a bit different. However, oat milk can be used in place.
