Listen, I know it’s October, meaning milkshakes are “out of season,” but bear with me.

My theory is that milkshakes are never out of season. In the summer, they are awesome with fresh berries; we can jazz them up in the winter with peppermint and chocolate, and in the fall, we have apples.

I mean, we have pumpkins, too, but I don’t want to skip over apple season.

I feel like there is always a rush to bring out the pumpkin, and we totally forget about the apples.

Back to the milkshake: It quite literally tastes like a fall in a cup. Cliche but true.

It’s perfectly sweet, full of apple flavor, and has just a touch of apple pie spice to pull it all together.

Plus, the top is drizzled with caramel and sprinkled with crunchy cinnamon granola. It’s a win for a fall-season apple dessert!

My Pro Tips

Recipe Tips

  • Use your favorite canned apple pie filling for this recipe. Homemade apple pie filling would also work well here.
  • Bump up the flavor by using salted caramel sauce.
  • Use cinnamon ice cream for an intense cinnamon flavor.
  • Make this dairy-free by using your favorite DF alternatives.
  • Use my Vanilla Spiced Apples instead of canned pie filling for big-time apple flavor.
