I love all things breakfast but especially if that breakfast includes bagels and with that bagel comes delicious cream cheese.

And in this case, not just any cream cheese, homemade berry cream cheese!

How delicious does that sound?

I took fresh berries, roasted them in the oven, and mixed them into cream cheese to create the bagel topping or fruit dip of your dreams!

If you’re a lover of all things cream cheese this is the recipe for you! And if you’re looking for something with a smokey twist try this smoked cream cheese!

Ingredients for homemade berry cream cheese

  • Strawberries – I’m using fresh summer berries for a sweet addition.
  • Blueberries – Make sure to use sweet berries, not tart.
  • Brown sugar -I’m using two tablespoons in the recipe, but if your berries are super sweet, you can use 1 tablespoon of brown sugar.
  • Cream cheese – I’m using a full-fat brick cream cheese.

How to make roasted berry cream cheese

Making this homemade flavored cream cheese is super easy! Plus, roasting the berries gives you the best-concentrated berry flavor.

  1. Add berries to a sheet pan and toss in brown sugar.
  2. Roast until the berries are soft and juicy.
  3. Let the berries cool.
  4. Mix your cream cheese to loosen it up and make it fluffy.
  5. Add in the berries and mix to combine.
  6. Store in the refrigerator for up to 1 week.

  3. I know it’s sacrilegious to say, but berries taste SO much better when they’re roasted!
