Ingredients for roasted garlic whipped feta
For roasted garlic:
- 1 head of garlic – Be sure it is a tight, fresh head of garlic with no green sprouts or dark brown rotten areas.
- Olive oil – This fat will help the garlic to roast perfectly in the oven.
For whipped feta:
- Feta cheese – Feta cheese is salty and perfect for adding to sandwiches and dips.
- Cream cheese – Cream cheese will add a tangy flavor and creamy texture.
- Olive oil – Olive oil will help add moisture and help our dip reach the perfect consistency.
- Lemon juice – Lemon juice will bring a burst of fresh lemon flavor to our whipped feta.
- Fresh thyme and parsley – Fresh is best! These will add an herbaceous and green flavor to our dip.
- Roasted garlic – Roasted garlic is sweet, savory, and earthy, and will compliment the flavors well in the whipped feta.

How to roast garlic
Roasting garlic is super easy to do!
First, cut about ¼ inch off of the top of the head of garlic.
Place the head of garlic on a piece of aluminum foil and drizzle with olive oil.
Close the aluminum foil around it, forming a little pouch, and bake for 30 minutes at 400 degrees F.
Don’t worry about peeling the cloves! After the head of garlic is roasted, the cloves are soft enough to squeeze out, leaving behind the papery exterior.

Why use fresh herbs?
Fresh herbs are highly encouraged to be used in this garlic whipped feta dip because they have a cleaner, and brighter flavor.
Dried herbs have a more muted, and slightly bitter flavor to them, and an unpleasant leathery texture.
