You into taking shots?

Don’t worry if you say no. I’m not going to hold it against you.

Personally, I like to slowly get into the holiday spirit but to each their own.

Especially when it comes to holiday drinking. I mean, it’s just about the only time of the year where you can drink for a week straight and no one thinks it weird.

A nip of aged eggnog at breakfast? Why not.

Maybe a cranberry mojito with lunch? Sure.

Feeling cold? Maybe a glass of slow cooker spiced mulled wine will warm you up.

Feel like making a homemade Christmas gift? Make them homemade candy cane vodka!

You get it. You can be lush and no one cares.

What’s in a Three Wise Men Shot

For this shot, I combined 3 different types of whiskey to create the warmest quickest way to get holiday blitzed.

  • Jim Beam Bourbon Whiskey
  • Johnnie Walker Scotch Whisky
  • Jack Daniel’s Tennessee Whiskey

I should also note that I actually made this post back in 2010 but had to reshoot it because the old picture was awful. I’ve been doing that a lot lately – have you noticed?

I’m always worried that people will be all “ugh, I saw this post 8 years ago. What gives?!”

Then I realize it’s doubtful any of you have been reading me for 8 years.

Or the whole (almost) 10 years that I have been blogging.

Seriously, cannot believe I’ve been doing this for almost 10 years. Crazy!

When I went to shoot this shot I realized I do not actually own any normal shot glasses. That’s why I went with these lovely little glasses I got a few years ago.

I saw them at Goodwill and could not pass them up. Sadly until today, they were unused.

And I’m pretty sure these glasses made for a more beautiful shot presentation than the only other shot glass I could find – my husbands Kappa Xi Kappa shot glass from college.

Ways to enjoy this Three Wise Men Shot:

  • With your pets
  • Not alone (too much alcohol = too many feelings)

Making this three wise men shot is pretty simple and just involved a few shakes and pours. If you want your shot room temperature you can skip the ice shaking step.

Personally, I like mine ice cold but to each their own.
