Ingredients for grilled peach burrata salad
- Peaches – Peaches are great for grilling because they get caramelized and smoky, while still maintaining their shape. I do not recommend using anything but fresh peaches here.
- Burrata – This Italian semi-soft cheese is a perfectly creamy complement to our peaches.
- Homemade garlic butter croutons – I’ve gone ahead and made my own, but feel free to use your favorite store-bought variety.
- Mint – Fresh mint will elevate all of the flavors by giving us a fresh herbaceous burst of flavor.
- Olive oil – Use something fruity and richly flavored, because this is our dressing.
- Salt and pepper – All good salads are properly seasoned with salt and pepper to help bring out their flavors.
- Red pepper flake – To add a little kick of heat.
What is burrata?
Burrata cheese is a semi-soft Italian cheese that’s made from mozzarella and fresh cream.
The burrata is in a semi-firm ball shape, and when you cut into it, the softer, cream is in the middle.
If you can’t find burrata, no worries! Using fresh mozzarella would be an acceptable substitute.
What kind of olive oil?
There aren’t very many ingredients in this salad, so we need to make sure every ingredient is the best version, for the most delicious flavors.
Take a closer look at your local grocery store olive oil section, or gourmet food store, and opt for something that has a deep, rich, buttery flavor.
You don’t want anything that’s labeled “light” or “for cooking.”
Sometimes the bottles have the word “finishing oil” on them, signaling that it would be good use for dressings and drizzles.
Other additions
If you’re looking to bulk up this salad, that’s easy!
This salad would be great with the addition of some fresh arugula, Frisée lettuce, or spinach.
Storage and leftovers
Lastly, any leftover grilled peaches can be stored separately, in an airtight container in the refrigerator for up to 3 days.

Grilled Peach Burrata Salad
Ingredients
- 4 peaches quartered
- 1 pound burrata cheese
- Homemade garlic butter croutons
- 1/4 cup finely minced mint
- 1/4 cup olive oil
- Fresh cracked black pepper to taste
- Kosher salt to taste
- Crushed red pepper to taste
Instructions
- Preheat your grill to medium-high heat.
- Cut your peaches in half, remove the pit, and cut each half in half.
- Lightly brush your peaches with olive oil, place on the grill, and grill until lightly charred on all sides – about 5 minutes.
- Remove from the grill and set on a medium-sized serving platter.
- Take your ball of burrata out of its container and cut/break it into small chunks. The inside will be a bit runny but I just spread it around so that each serving gets a good amount of cheese.
- Scatter around the desired amount of croutons onto the platter.
- In a small bowl mix together mint and olive oil. Drizzle the mixture over the platter.
- Season the salad with the desired amount of fresh cracked black pepper, kosher salt, crushed red pepper, and freshly minced mint.
