If one thing screams summer to me, it’s sangria.

Now, if you have been following me for a while you know I love me some sangria. I have made everything from White Wine Peach Sangria to Raspberry Mango Sangria, to Honeycrisp Apple Sangria, to my super simple Spicy Hibiscus Peach Teagria {Tea + Sangria}.

Needless to say – I am a fan.

This sweet, sparkling summer sangria is the perfect nod to a bubbly summer cocktail. It combines your typical sangria additions like brandy and triple sec, but instead of regular wine, I went with a sparkling rose.

If you’re wondering what the perfect bottle of rose to use is, I recommend something semi-sweet to dry and not too expensive. Now is not the time to bust out a $300 bottle of champagne.

However, if you’re a fan of sweeter sangria, then it might make sense to buy a sweeter sparkling wine.

Oh, and use whatever summery fruits you have on hand. For me, it was cherries, raspberries, strawberries, citrus, and some fresh mint leaves.

FAQ’s

Superfine sugar, also known as caster sugar (especially in the UK), is a type of granulated sugar with a finer grain than regular granulated sugar but coarser than powdered sugar. Its fine texture allows it to dissolve more quickly, making it ideal for cocktails and cold beverages.

If you don’t have superfine sugar on hand, you can make your own by pulsing regular granulated sugar in a food processor until it’s finely ground.

Absolutely. Sparkling wine or Champagne is just fine in this recipe.

It’s commonly called “triple sec” and is found near mixers and other liqueurs.
